European Guanxi is delighted to host a workshop in collaboration with Tom Tomezsko from Schwarzman Scholars, providing you with essential information to apply for competitive scholarships.ons.
One of our missions is to improve the understanding of China and promote engagement. This is why we are committed to providing our members and audience with opportunities that could help develop key relationships between us all.

During this one-hour workshop, we will discuss in detail how to apply for the Schwarzman Scholars program; along with giving a wealth of advice on application procedures for similar scholarships. which is essential for any China watcher to jumpstarting a successful career.

After the first informative session, we will provide a 20-minute workshop on writing strong essays to help you stand out from other applicants.​​

Join Schwarzman Scholars in Leading Global Change
Schwarzman Scholars is the first scholarship program created to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st century. It is a one-year, fully-funded master’s degree program based at Tsinghua University in Beijing, and it is designed to build a global community of future leaders who will strengthen understanding between China and the rest of the world.

With a front row seat to global crisis leadership and practical opportunities to construct interdisciplinary solutions, Schwarzman Scholars are better positioned to succeed and more in demand around the world than ever before. 
  
Schwarzman Scholars is open to students and young professionals between the ages of 18 and 28 years old, regardless of nationality, who are proficient in English and have obtained an undergraduate degree. Applicants from all academic disciplines and career paths are eligible.

About our main speaker
Tom Tomezsko is an Outreach and Selection Officer for Schwarzman Scholars who contributes to Schwarzman Scholars’ recruitment efforts in Europe. Prior to joining Schwarzman Scholars, Tom was a senior admissions officer at Columbia University. Tom earned a BA from Brown University and an MS from Columbia University.
